Morning walk under the Moons

Unlockable: a 3500 pixel wide of this image. ------------ I like to think Humankind will live in harmony with Nature in whichever new planets we happen to colonize in the future. I hope we won't repeat there the same mistakes we made on Earth. In this image, I imagined floating walkways so that the visitors can enjoy the place without actually disturbing the flora and fauna. The floating circles silently move above the water and connect you where you want to go. I tried to make the trees in a way that they simultaneously look familiar and alien. I was trying to achieve the 'unfamiliar familiar' that you may have read about. This is something I also try to do in many other images. The 'familiar' element helps the viewer to 'accept' the image as real and natural and it creates a kind of dissonance with the 'unfamiliar' in the viewers' minds, thereby helping to form a thought-provoking experience.
