Description
The picture was created on the basis of a racist and sexist commercials of a craft stores company.
It showed, a young Asian woman in a gray Japanese metropolis. She draws used men's underwear, soiled by gardening, in a sealed plastic bag from a vending machine. When she opens the bag and inhales deeply, she rolls her eyes ecstatically. The title of the spot is called "That's how spring smells". Racism and sexism have become acceptable and many Germans found the spot good and said it was a mistake of the Asians, who had misunderstood it and should not be so upset. Together with the initiator Sung Un Gang and other people with Asian background, we founded the movement #ich_wurde_gehornbacht. With press releases and letters we created Europe- and Asia-wide public media awareness for everyday racism. In the end, the company had to stop advertising this commercial because the German Advertising Council also classified it as racist.
The 1 of 1 NFT includes a jpg of the fine art acrylic painting "Brave New World". It is my genesis piece on Knownorigin.
