Description
"i'm a twenty first century digital boy, i don't know how to live, but i got a lot of toys"
~Brett Gurewitz
social media seems to be an addiction that few can break. for many it has become their entertainment, their companion, their gauge to their personal worth in these modern times even though in many ways it is truly a façade to the real world that we live in
so many will not–or cannot–unplug and just enjoy life away from it's constant distraction and feel a sense of depression if they are not connected to all the various social media outlets out there and cannot see the inherent perils that it is causing them
the fact that you are reading these words from yet another social media source might just be the biggest irony of it all, but there is hope...
i created this self-portrait in response to my own struggles to keep away from social media's clutches and hope that others can also break free from it's crippling–and often times–toxic grasp and find a healthy balance between being connected and knowing when to just unplug, walk away, and just live a life in reality
