Description
THIS is an exceptionally rare MONZTRS stamp. It is believed that only ONE exists. Various narratives have circulated, each describing a different origin story, but the one most widely accepted is that the designer who was commissioned to create the portrait was directed to add the PAR AVION designation by the Kobold pictured as a bit of revenge for some perceived slight, knowing that they would likely be fired as a result of the error. No clear record supporting this claim has been found. A KOBOLD is a sprite also known as a "goblin" and a "hobgoblin." Usually invisible, a kobold can materialize in the form of an animal, a fire, a human being, or a candle. The most common depictions of kobolds show them as humanlike figures the size of small children. Kobolds who live in human homes wear the clothing of peasants; those who live in mines are hunched and ugly. Kobolds are featured in the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game and other fantasy media, where they are generally depicted as small reptilian humanoids with long tails, distant cousins of dragons. In many fantasy roleplaying games, kobolds are used as weak "cannon fodder" monsters, but they may be cunning and strong in groups.
