Description
The Flower of the Season is a digital work that represents the theme of life from a duality perspective to explore the notion of fragility and strength. The wild plant in this image, found in a lonely and cold train station in Holland, has a characteristic vibrant violet color that is unrepeatable in the back of the painting and that contrasts with the neutral and light colors of the context. Floral motifs have often been linked to the realm of the feminine from the prejudice of fragile delicacy as a sign of weakness; However, in my work I try to revert and resignify certain themes that also affect me. This work contains a symbol that matches a personal circumstance: that of feeling emotionally outside, strange, in a strange or indifferent place. With this work I try to understand that things are not fragile or delicate by themselves but that it is the adverse and hostile conditions of the environment that determine them and relegate them to this condition of vulnerability.
