The Firefly Nanobot Swarm

The global AI system which emerged in the early 21st century needed its own system of self-repairing inner framework apparatus. The system evolved a semi-biological swarm of firefly nanobots that could interact with the inner working of the system, manipulate defragged memories, and performs general neural network rewiring work. This image was taken with the TEAM 5 transmission electron microscope with a resolution of less than an angstrom (one ten-millionth of a millimeter) capturing one of the Firefly nanobots as it travels deep within the cooling system of Japan's Fugaku supercomputer.
