Ornate Crescent

Some tribes in East Africa have high regard to beauty. They go as far as cutting their earlobes and sometimes their lower lips to insert large ornaments to beautify themselves. This ornamental plates provided great opportunity to incorporate ANNA Zubarev's meticulously created crescent moon drawing which symbolizes the feminine energy of the universe. With these elements we created this collaborative piece which celebrates beauty, culture and the cosmos. (The main medium used to create this art work is 'physical paper mosaic' and i also included digital illustration and digital painting techniques alongside with ANNA's crescent moon digital illustration).
