Description
"Ph’nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh, wgah’nagl fhtagn"
- Chant of the Cthulhu Cult
"Mankind would have become as the Great Old Ones, free and wild and beyond good and evil, with laws and morals thrown aside and all men shouting and killing and reveling in joy. Then the liberated Old Ones would teach them new ways to shout and kill and revel and enjoy themselves, and all the earth would flame with a holocaust of ecstasy and freedom."
The cult believes that their worship will one day result in the return of Cthulhu. And that when he awakens, they will be able to throw all notions of morality and compassion aside, transforming the world into a landscape of violence and bloodshed. They claim to possess carven idols given to them by the Great Old Ones in times long forgotten, and their high priests use these to keep the memories of their master alive.
