Description
I depicted a hall called "Valhalla" in ancient Viking mythology. According to the old Viking beliefs, they held the belief that Odin, the god, would take the valiant warriors who died bravely to a grand hall within his palace in the afterlife. I envisioned this hall with its warm walls, and an elevated windowed chamber above.
One day, Odin was absent, and the doors to his throne were left open. A fierce contest between the wrestlers ensued, and the battle raged on for an extended period. As the sun began to set, Odin did not make his appearance. The fight continued between the combatants for an extended time.
Ordinarily, when one was defeated, they would return to life once more, feasting and celebrating throughout the night. However, this night seemed to hold a slightly different air.
