Blood Emeralds

The river divides; like emeralds bleeding out cultures throughout centuries, returning to the earth in calm organic bliss. 35mm film photographs, double exposed, soaked in boiling water, wine, hot sauce, spices, and furniture polish — and developed in my home. This diptych in juxtaposition attempts to illustrate the unseen, briefly highlight parallel existences, and point our mind to the overarching psyche that lies beyond our conscious thought.
