Confetti Mood

By PopArtDrop My Pop Art Drop Series was created by mixing various mediums and blending old world techniques with modern day technology. Starting with a white canvas on my computer I use Procreate and Adobe Photoshop Suite to hand paint and then combine and layer textures and colors to create a playful piece of art. I also incorporate my original IRL oil paintings or photography and then digitally enhance the work by layering and digitally painting until the piece takes on a whimsical playful style. Continuing my experimentation with new digital media and digital painting I have found that using a digital paint brush and custom filters can achieve effects impossible by traditional means. For me when creating in a digital format the work takes on a third dimension in a world with infinite possibilities. I love the challenge of reaching beyond the norm and letting my imagination take me on a new journey. Everyday I continue to learn new techniques by combining digital painting and layering in my own unique way. With so many substrates; paper, canvas, aluminum, and acrylic and now NFT’s. I feel that living in the 21st century as an artist redefines traditional painting by utilizing all the tools available in today’s digital world. What a wonderful time to be an artist!
