Nokomis

According to Algonquian legend Mother Earth lives beneath the highest clouds. The Water of life feeds plants, animals and humans. She is sad. Humans are destroying her earth. "I thought I would get it right this time with earth - but human greed is destroying my planet - just as it had done with my other planets". "Very soon there will no longer be an earth." With every human destruction on earth a deep cut appears on Nokomis. She has no option but to put an end to it all.
