Description
The deity Devi Shailaputri is revered on Day 1 of Navratri. The goddess is venerated in her guise as the princess of Himalayas. Shaila means one who is exceptional or ascends to great heights. She represents the divine awareness, which always rushes from the apex. We honour Shailaputri so that we too may reach the highest level of consciousness.
