Portrait of Starchild

This piece depicts the endless optimistic, dreamy and beautiful side of dreaming big. Ever since I was a child I had dreams of creating my own colorful world and earning a living by doing so. I used to phantasize about the bright and colorful characters in my world "Starfield", where the adults are wearing suits with huge shoulder pads from the 80s and the children colorful leather jackets, the burtonesque neighborhoods, the quirky cows with Anna Wintour hairstyles and so much more. Creating this phantasy world in my head made me so happy, it was an escape from the triste everyday life. This piece is about those visions I had of myself and "Starfield". It is a manifestation of the boundless, naive and pure optimism of a child.
