🎵When the one two land is close at hand, let's reach for the magic box Is it full of woos and gobbledy goos? Will there be a fizzo fox? Turn on the torch for the nibbling games, it's late, it's bright, it's good Line them all up and whisper their names, don't forget the one in your hood Chocolo whoppers on our pyjamas, and tingling pops on our lips Munchies and monsters with little wrapped gumsters, and packets of unopened Skips Come little beanies and bouncing weenies, don’t forget the chocolate beasts Let’s set sail this magic hour, on the ship of Midnight feasts!'🎵 As a child, a midnight feast felt like a forbidden adventure. The promise of excitement that broke the rules of sleep. Brush your teeth? Not doing that! Go to bed early? Not doing that! Hide under the covers and wait for midnight with your best friend? Doing that! And on our midnight adventures, we took supplies to last us into the night as we voyaged into the unknown and searched for creatures in the shadows on the ceiling. Sucking sweets in between the creaking of floorboards and the rustling of trees in the wind. Sugar fuelled stories of heroes and robots and cities made of colour. And in that magic hour before our eyelids fell, we were unstoppable, inseparable and frozen in a moment of uncaged joy and freedom.
