Description
Mark Watts the Original G1 Transformer Artist from 1981 and beyond.
Hand drew with pencil / airbrush on hot press Illustration board / low tack frisket / acrylic paint and Luma Dyes.
All of my Transformer Art was created like this in 1984 and beyond, I used no computers back then in 1981, it was really very time-consuming.
Transformer Art like this created by hand with frisket has a really different sharper look than I believe can be created on the computer.
Process: many pencil sketches until the drawing is perfected, then drawing is transferred to smooth hot press illustration board.
Frisket is cut for every line you see on the drawing, to protect areas that are not to be sprayed with the airbrush.
If you own a physical collectible from the series of 1985, my illustration complements to its value.
Thank you and enjoy collecting!
Mark
