Mad Monk's Shorts come in three varieties: Love Like Love, Imposters and finally Ape Love. Love Like Love has two parts where one is classical and the other is a minimalist wild derivative. Imposters are hectic, out of focus, retro and worn down images of well say body doubles and imposters. Ape Love is a bit of ape level love mythology but soon yields to passionate love told in primate abstract experimentalism. Mad Monk's Shorts are 2022 summer vintage musings and rough sketches. They emerged from a thought stream ranging from love, imposter syndrome, simple love, big love, abstract love, imposters all around, fear, love, monkeys, gorillas, apes, love like love, cabinet of Dr. Caligari and finally to love like apes. These ideas were nurtured into a set of images of which some are being minted.
