“Kinetic Vibration.020” - Animation

The background image for this artwork is an interior view of a steam locomotive cockpit I photographed at a train museum in Ambarawa, Java, Indonesia. I later added digitally applied blue triangular shapes and red circles at whim though balanced in juxtaposition with the elements at play The animation incorporates a pulsating rhythm with the original image segmented in a random radial orientation. My kinetic animated creations explore motion, vibration, energy, gesture, and juxtaposition while incorporating geometric or architectonic background images captured during my travels to more than one hundred countries. I later add graphic design elements, typically in a modular matrix grid arrangement with occasional hand-drawn brush strokes to create designs based on my whim of the moment yet controlled by honed visual perspectives that integrate balance, proportion, color, shape, buoyancy, and often a bit of humor.
