Grim Reaper Vogue is an exploration of Memento Mori - a long standing artist trope of the inevitability of death in the natural cycle of life. The prompt to get the source imagery was exploring high fashion - ie Vogue covers - with visages of death. The psychedelic glitch animation is to exemplify the use of psychedelics in a form of ego death where we let go of our vanity and confront our own mortality. This piece is minted in conjunction with NFT NYC and on the day it is first exhibited at Refraction DAO festival in Brooklyn 6/22/2022.
