This night, she saw Maalaw in her dreams. The horse traded his coat for a crystal mirror veil. She found herself wearing a strange metallic gown, ornamented with neon accessory. The fantastic animal was gazing at her, peaceful, standing above a bougainvillea bed. The whole desert was stained in their fuchsia pink, framing a prismatic cotton sky. Greeting the creature, she felt prosperous and loving. 〰️ “prosperity ✦” is an artwork created for the 2022 Dakar Biennale. I was born in Dakar in 1995. A personal artwork representing my hopes for Senegalese future. The female protagonist dream is hopeful and prophetic: a flourishing path for Africa, thanks to the blockchain technology.
