An artist whose idea was to explore various mediums like fashion, automobiles, architecture, and many more. I connect to him big time because I have the same perspective on art and design. He is not with us anymore, but his legacy continues. This sketch is inspired by his quote ‘Everything I do is for the 17-year-old version of myself’ Hereby, Virgil stands in front of his 17-year-old self who wanted to make a difference, and at the end of his life, he became bigger than the city of Chicago where he was born and took over the world with his ideas and fresh perspective. Globe on back of the jacket is the artwork of televised radio, a music podcasting channel by him. Inspiration for legacy being painted on the jacket is taken from his met gala 2021 appearance. In the sea, there are some quotes by him that represent his journey. this one is for the community to remember that never give up, we are here to not just sell art but to build a legacy of our own.
