Woke At Dawn

Double Vision is a collaborative collection where Lindsay Overbey X Roger Allan Cleaves make art from a passage of literature that we alternate in choosing. We each create just half of the artwork and do so blindly, much like in the creation of an Exquisite Corpse drawing. The halves are compiled digitally and then we each work the piece as a whole until the image is resolved. For Woke At Dawn, I chose the poem “There Will Come Soft Rains” by Sara Teasdale which describes the Earth as if it would be without humankind and the lack of regard that Nature and Spring hold for human life.
