Growing up surfing; I now often dream of the mystery spots only ever found in my own mind. Illusive and dark. Powerful and shapeless. The great exchange. Letting go of control in its overwhelming embrace always wrapped me in safety. Surrendering was always the toll to pay for survival amidst its omnipotent currents. This piece reminds me of the times of my youth where I would solo surf stormy moonlit nights, finding peace amongst the watery madness and the silence from submerging into the deep.
