Sound of Silence

The temperature drops, the daylight hours shorten. Colourful life turns into a blanket of white. The sound absorbing power of snow creates a silence that is both terrifying and beautiful. Some see winter as a time to retreat indoors and hide under the covers. For me, Winter is a time of discovery. I feel my mind truly at ease as I sit on the snow capped mountains with nothing but the occasional breeze.
