Upstairs

The sound of frightened footsteps quickly crossed the beginning to end of the inner room. The Nasserite court did not have the usual peace at that midnight. (Naser al-Din Shah was the King of Qajar Iran from 5 September 1848 to 1 May 1896) The events that were taking place upstairs had rubbed the sleep from peoples’ eyes in the court.
