Description
After a failed astrophotography night and taking a nap in the car we arose for sunrise. It was -40 degrees Celsius. I turned around from what is normally considered the “view” at this spot and found one of the most unique displays of sunrise I have ever seen. Absolutely frozen, I stood there and watched as the sun lit up the mountains and sky. Banff, where this was taken - holds a deep place in my heart. I left my home Vancouver to pursue a medical career in which I fell into a depression but where I learned the true concept of home.
Home is where love is, where light is - and most importantly where you feel grounded.
Home is a refuge, a sanctuary, protection from the world. Home is a feeling. For me, home is anywhere out in nature.
