Description
Growing up to 300 feet high and known to live for 300 years, Eucalyptus diversicolor, commonly known as The Karri, is a eucalypt native to the wetter regions of southwestern Western Australia.
Standing on the road at this spot in the cool, the total silence was pleasantly eerie. The tall, majestic Karri trees illuminated ever so lightly on one side from the rising sun framed the road ahead. I could hear the dripping of the fog off of the leaves as the fog and newly risen sun battled for supremacy over the landscape, with the fog consuming the background, providing as it did, a sense of mystery as to what lay beyond. All the while, the tall, strong sentinel on the right guarded the entrance.
