Based on Gene Tierney, an actress who had Hollywood success in the 1940s -1950s. A number of my pieces explore mental illness and disorders - especially in relation to the pressure of celebrity. Tierney certainly was certainly no exception, suffering from Bipolar disorder and depression. She had a rocky life spending time in psychiatric institutions on a number of occasions.
