SACRED BATTLE

Inspired by Mekare-kare (Perang Pandan/Megaret Pandan), A ritualistic battle been hosted once in a year by Bali Aga / Bali Mula peoples in Tenganan, Bali. As a part of honour to the Lord Indra as God of War who fought with King Maya Denawa Using pandan leaf that have thorn as the main weapon and shield made from rattan. The gladiators must adhere to strict guidelines before start the battle. Also, it's a sacred ritual, so it's not allowed to fill their heart with angry and hatred. The cheers from the spectators makes adrenaline pumping. Soon the gladiators start a quick battle. They wounded and bleeding. But there's no winner or loser in this battle. Again, it's a sacred battle.
