Description
A glowing waterfall in the late evening sun dropping down about 1000 m into a fjord in Southern Norway.
I captured this image after a day-long hike along a fjord in summer 2018. We set up camp right on the edge as the sun began to set on the horizon. The last few rays of light lit up the waterfall on the opposite side and it began to glow in an unreal color contrasting with the cold rock walls.
A fortunate moment that lasted only about 5 minutes before the sun disappeared behind the mountains.
As much as planning and persistence is key to successful landscape photography, sometimes being in the right place at the right time and adapting to your surroundings is just as crucial.
