Remaining Light.

It all started when we drove 2 hours and slept in our vehicle to start a summit attempt at 02:00am. As the KM's went on, the snow became deeper. The path unclear. Our hopes diminished into the dark sky surrounding us. Defeated, returned to our car at 06:30. All that for nothing. After arising from a nap a few hours later we made the decision to traverse along a less intensive route. Still disappointed, we found ourselves alone lakeside. One of the only sunny days that graced in city in weeks and here we were. We were patient and treated to a beautiful sunset as the cold air graced my photographing fingertips.
