Description
Caldwell 49 (or Rosette nebula) is an open cluster and emission nebula about 5000 light-years from Earth.
Those young stars solar winds, which were born from that nebula's matter, excites the atoms in the nebula, causing them to emit radiation which is captured here with narrowband filters.
It was captured with an 11 inch telescope on an f/2 configuration which allows lots of light to be gathered at once, with narrowband filters that shows the different components of the nebula (hydrogen, oxygen and sulfur).
