Whirlpool galaxy

The Whirlpool galaxy (M51) is an interacting grand-design spiral galaxy which located around 31 million light years from earth. It is by far one of the most beautiful and special looking galaxies in the night sky. It is a very faint and small object in the night sky. I've spent many hours capturing it on several occasions, each time improving both quality and resolution. Captured with an 8 inch reflector telescope on a tracking mount with RGB and Hydrogen alpha filters.
